The department is committed to achieve the following objectives:
To develop and strengthen the network of fine arts activities in Nepal and set up channels for skill and knowledge transfer and exchange along with prestigious academic degrees
To enhance students' understanding and appreciation of the arts, and foster interaction between music, painting, sculpture and the liberal arts

To support student research and collaborations through publications and performances
To cultivate new approaches to performance, scholarship, and education through collaborations among various genres of fine arts
